This scent is a bottled rose for the rebels. It is decidedly unisex and unorthodox, created to reinvent the image of “old lady’s perfume”, introducing a rose fragrance that is assertively virile. Taking lead from the original our oil maintains its captivating strength as a feminine scent while finding a new level of wearability and accessibility as a unisex fragrance, thanks to its woody amber base of cumin and guaiac wood.

This is a close match for Le Labo Rose 31 (closer than A Labor of Noir was to The Noir). I would recommend this if you want an affordable dupe. Having said that, there is an underlying "soapy sweetness" DNA in all perfume oils I've tried - a slight sweet heaviness (not cloying per se) - something discernible in all seven of the Champagne Socialist oils, and also in all the OilPerfumery oils.
